King Charles III’s office has issued a heartfelt message following the announcement of Buckingham Palace’s closure for extensive renovations. The Palace will be closed for three years, and state visits will be relocated to Windsor Castle.

During this time, Duchess Sophie, known for her dedication, was visibly emotional at a travelling photo exhibition about courageous women. The royal family’s social media shared photos of her with a touching statement.

The message highlighted the Duchess’s visit to the Farida Global Organisation’s exhibition, which tells the stories of genocide survivors and has been displayed in cities like Berlin and The Hague. It also emphasized the #16Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence campaign, running from November 25 to December 10, to challenge violence against women and girls.

The announcement of the Palace closure and the Duchess’s emotional appearance underscore the royal family’s ongoing commitment to important social issues.
