Bob Bryar, who drummed for My Chemical Romance from 2004 to 2010, passed away at 44. Animal Control found Bryar dead in his Tennessee home on Tuesday, November 26, and an autopsy is underway to determine the cause of death.

Bryar joined My Chemical Romance in 2004, taking over from Matt Pelissier after the release of their second album, “Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge.” He toured extensively with the band and played on their intricate rock opera, “The Black Parade,” in 2006. His dedication to the band’s theatrics was evident when he severely burned his leg during the filming of the “Famous Last Words” video. Bryar also contributed to the band’s fourth and final studio album, “Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys,” and appeared on the rarities compilation “Conventional Weapons.” He left the band before “Danger Days” was recorded and remains their longest-serving drummer.
