Rajender Meghwar has made history as Pakistan’s first Hindu officer in the Police Service of Pakistan (PSP). He has assumed the role of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in Faisalabad’s Gulberg Police.

Hailing from the underprivileged area of Badin, Sindh, Meghwar joined the police force after passing the CSS exam.

Expressing his happiness, ASP Meghwar said his dream of serving the community has come true. He believes his role in the police allows him to address people’s issues directly, especially those of minority communities, in ways other departments cannot.

Police officials also welcomed the appointment, highlighting that it promotes inclusivity and will help address minority concerns.

In another achievement, Roopmati, a minority woman from Rahim Yar Khan, has also passed the CSS exam. She plans to work in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to enhance Pakistan’s image globally.
